I've done it. I've given in and joined Pinterest. When I first heard about it, I thought to myself "how stupid. you just click on pictures that you like and it saves them?", when in reality, it is so so much more than that. I used to get caught up in design blogs and recipe blogs and spend hours and hours going through them, bookmarking pages of things I wanted to try or things I wanted my future home to look like, and then I realized that was a huge waste of time, so I stopped. But with Pinterest, all the hard work is done. See a photo of something you want to make? Click on it, and it will take you to the original source - most of the time with directions included. Here are just a few things that have caught my eye that I plan on doing sometime in the future:
It's also a great source for color boards, which are always nice to have when planning any project
Seriously, check it out. I'm really happy that I did. And if you do, look me up. I love seeing other people's inspirations!
haha, yay Pinterest!!I love Pinterest. SO addictive, but it's like the perfect visual bookmarking tool. Glad you succumbed!
ReplyDeleteI joined pretty recently too and it's also replaced my zillion bookmarks. I click on it before anything else. I could spend waaay to much time on it if I let myself. Anyway, I followed you.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the down side - could be a major time waster!! I only allow myself 15 minutes at a time, otherwise I could spend all day on there!
